Mari Gray, is a registered teacher with many years experience teaching English to students from all over the world. Born in Japan, Mari studied Japanese at University of Queensland. She has visited Japan many times and delights in Japanese culture, arts and customs.

English lessons
Mari will tailor English lessons to your needs. You can choose individual or small group lessons with plenty of opportunity for informal conversation practice.
Cooroora Mountain Homestay is located on the edge of the town of Pomona, voted the friendliest in Queensland. Here you can meet the locals and experience life in a typical Australian village. Practise your English at the markets, pub and coffee shops in the town.
We can also arrange a variety of outdoor activities for you, including sailing, fishing, water-skiing, tennis and bushwalking. In addition to brushing up your English, you can practise your golf swing!
Outdoor activities at Cooroora Mountain Homestay provide more opportunity for interesting and diverse conversation. Native animals often wander into the gardens.
